Bubbling, peeling and now I am wondering how do I fix it. Do I need to power wash or sand it all off. Do I dare clean the peeling parts and re apply this product according to what I am hearing it will just happen again. For hard working people trusting a product to invest and spend more money because they advertised this Behr product would last longer we went with spending more money.

I just got off the phone with a rep in California. I was told to call back next week as they hope to have a contact for the class action lawsuit. I had trouble after the first application and Behr sent me another 4 gallon bucket and instructions on how to prep, spot treat and do a complete cover again. Well, as many probably know, when the bubbled/peeling portions are pulled up, you end up realizing how much more is not adhering to the deck. My concern is the cost I have in the paint, my labor of applying the paint, scraping the old and reapplying and now having to do it all again.

The wood is rotten and paint is pealing. Did you get any more info about a new class action suit? Got an estimate to repair, $74,000. Would love to be a part of if new suit is filed.

I painted two decks with this product. I am 65 yrs old and have taken 2 straight weeks cleaning my mother’s 16′ X 16′ deck from all the paint bubbling up. Not only did it not adhere to the deck but any moisture seemed to creep under the paint and remain wet.

We’re now contemplating replacing the boards instead. The paint has peeled in so many places. I purchased and used 3 5 gallon and 4 gallons of this product. I have to have it removed and refinish all my decking. I used the Behr deckover on my screened in porch, which is concrete.

Glad your not having any trouble with it yet. Everybody else is including myself. Still living the nightmare of this awful paint 3+ years later. We used this product last year and now are deck and landscaping looks terrible. I had brought Behr paint one year ago. Clean the pouch let dry complete Then one year later the paint is coming off .

This stuff has completely ruined our deck to the point that the entire deck now needs to be replaced due to rotting boards, etc. We applied it and had issues within a month with bubbling, peeling, etc. I contacted Behr and they claimed it was because it wasn’t applied correctly. My husband and I have stained/painted many things in our lives, we know how to do it. They sent us their deck cleaner and new DeckOver with instructions on how to apply it “correctly”. They swore if we followed the directions all would be fine.

We just ripped up our deck completely this weekebd we couldn’t stand looking at it any more. We couldnt afford to pay someone to do the work for us. We put this junk on our deck 3 to 4 years ago. We did everything it said to do. It failed and was peeling by the spring we applied summer before.

I had a pergo built on top of the deck which had to be jacked up because boards rotted due to cracking of deck over and allowing water to run through and rot the boards. My deck is totally ruined because of Deckover. We called Behr and they sent us new product, we removed the peeled up product and reapplied, but it also has peeled off. We followed the directions exactly and the results were terrible.

Been dealing with them going on 4 years now. 10 year old beautiful 1900 square foot deck that is now rotten out from this product. I am also a victim – we bought close to $300 of this deckover and followed directions to a T. It started peeling within months – so we sanded areas and started over in the areas that were bad thinking we did something wrong. By the following spring it was all bubbled up and peeling off…. I do not even know how to go about trying to get my money back.
